Our emotional, psychological, and social well-being affects every aspect of our lives from how we think, feel, and act at every stage of life, from childhood and adolescence through adulthood. It determines how we handle stress, relate to others, and make healthy choices.
Hailing from a family of pharmacists who devoted their lives to the healthcare and the well-being of our community, no one understands this more than me. Coupled with a true story about one of my closest childhood friends, Eric Kussin, who suffered in silence until he bravely shared his experience, did I grasp how real this issue was.
No one is immune, anyone can be affected and we’re not well educated on ways to cope or overcome these challenges. My friend was lucky enough to learn routines to live a healthy lifestyle and overcame the debilitating nature of his mental health struggles with the help of doctors, friends, family & scientists. He has since devoted his life to sharing the principles he learned. Successfully starting the nonprofit #Samehere – The Global Mental Health Movement and RAZOR MD will be teaming up to help spread awareness and help save lives.
